About 60 minutes from Tokyo, THE BASE GLAMPING YUGAWARA sits in the celebrated hot-spring town of Yugawara, surrounded by sea and mountains. Each roughly 120-sqm room comes with its own free-flowing source-hot-spring bath, and high walls give each a fully private, secluded feel; some rooms, such as the Sauna Suite Base, also have a private sauna. Meals are either a set menu carefully prepared by the site or a room-only plan, and you can relax by a campfire on your terrace (the Inner Fire Pit Suite has an indoor fire pit). Free-flow drinks are served at the marche in front of reception from 15:00 to 21:00. A convenience store is about two minutes away by car, and a reservation-only shuttle (14:30-18:00) is available.
