Totonoi sits in Dohara, Kurotaki Village in Yoshino, Nara, in mountains sometimes called the navel of the prefecture. There are three units in all, each on a generous 151 square metres and on its own separated plot, so nobody is looking at anyone else. It sleeps six.
Every unit has a barrel sauna. The cold plunge is the river running nearby, used in place of a tub. After that you can spread out on the wide terrace or retreat indoors. Projectors were installed in all three units in May 2026.
Meals are built on local produce. One course is a BBQ of Yamato beef, Yamato pork and Yamato free-range chicken at 250 grams a head; the other is sukiyaki centred on A5-grade Yamato beef. Both are eaten in the dining space inside your own unit. Plans with dinner and breakfast start at 17,840 yen.
Kintetsu Shimoichiguchi Station is about thirty minutes away by taxi. From the Kyoto direction it is roughly fifty minutes by car from Gose-Minami IC, and about the same from Gojo-Kita IC coming from Wakayama.You may enter from 15:00 and must leave by 10:00.
