GRANXIA Beppu Kannawa is a 14-dome, six-type glamping resort in Beppu's Kannawa onsen area, opened in April 2021. Rare for Kyushu, every well-insulated, air-conditioned dome has its own private onsen bath drawing on the Kannawa spring, plus an individual toilet and a covered dining space reachable without stepping outside; rooms range from four-person 6m domes to a 10m 'Grande' dome for up to ten, including forest, mountain-view and dog-friendly types with private dog runs. Dinner choices span a grilled BBQ of Oita wagyu and fresh seafood, kaiseki courses featuring Bungo beef and Kanchi chicken, and a Bungo fugu full course, with a self-catering plan for guests who bring their own ingredients. Guests can also try jigoku-mushi, steaming vegetables over the site's own roughly 95°C hot-spring vents, and day-use BBQ is available too. Views take in Mt. Yufu, Mt. Tsurumi and Mt. Ogi, and it is within about a two-hour drive of Fukuoka.
