On a hilltop above the deep-blue Sea of Japan in Joetsu, Niigata, this is the prefecture's first all-ocean-view glamping resort, with eleven dome tents. Four rooms come with a private panorama or barrel sauna, some have a private dog run for staying with your dog, and there is a roomier oval tent as well; every room has air conditioning, an all-weather dining space and a private shower and toilet. Dinner is a glamping BBQ built around Niigata-brand ingredients - local Wagyu sirloin and brand pork, scallops in the shell and large prawns - in standard or premium plans, and even room-only guests can use the built-in BBQ grill for free, with free-flow drinks in each room. On-site and nearby activities range from making local cider to fireworks, sea fishing and SUP. It is about 10 minutes from the Joetsu IC, or about 12 minutes by bus from Naoetsu Station; check the official site for rates and availability.
