About 90 minutes from central Tokyo, SUP BASE KAMOGAWA is a riverside private glamping site limited to three groups a day, set beside a gently flowing stream in Kamogawa, Chiba. Its three distinct units are Suiyu, the roomiest site where you can stay with your dog; Jakko, with fine views and a calm interior; and Chokai, fitted with a private Japanese-cypress sauna and open-air bath. Each sleeps one to four in a fully private setting, with air conditioning, a fridge, a coffee maker and a projector for Netflix and more, plus a shower booth and washlet toilet. At Chokai you can 'get in the zone' with a sauna and outdoor cooling to the murmur of the river. Dinner is a Boso premium BBQ of Kazusa wagyu, imo-buta pork and local seafood, rounded off by a campfire.
