A cottage built in October 2025 on high ground in Matsushima, Miyagi District, Miyagi, looking down on Matsushima, one of Japan's three celebrated views. It is run by the rental-house brand Tabi no Teitaku.
The building is a terrace of four units, each about 103 square metres and all of the same type. The layout runs to a living-dining-kitchen, a bathroom, a toilet, a second living area with a raised tatami space, a bedroom and a sauna room. There are two single beds, with six single futons added at maximum occupancy.
Six guests is the recommended number, eight the maximum, and up to two preschool children per unit may share bedding. Reserve all four units and a large group can spread out across them.
The living room looks out over Matsushima Bay, a view that earns the name BREATHTAKE. The kitchen has cooking appliances, and there are BBQ facilities. Free Wi-Fi is provided, along with two free parking spaces per unit.
Matsushimakaigan Station on the JR Senseki line is about ten minutes on foot, and Sendai about 40 minutes by car or train. Ordinary houses stand nearby, so quiet is expected after 20:00. Rates start at 49,000 yen per night.
