Iwaizumi CYMBALS is an experience resort that opened in April 2025 next to the Iwaizumi roadside station in Iwate Prefecture. Lodgings range widely: rooms with indoor saunas and artificial-onsen open-air baths, glamping cabins with barrel saunas and jacuzzi baths, renovated two-story and single-story folk houses, and the former Osaka-Aomori Blue Train Nihonkai, whose open A- and B-sleeper cars can be booked as-is or chartered by the carriage. Dinner is a chef's course of local ingredients such as Ryusendo black pork and Iwate Tankaku beef at the on-site restaurant (reservation required three days ahead), and there is also a 24-pitch campfire-friendly campsite plus activities like buggy rides, firewood splitting, e-kickboards and a private bath using Ryusendo spring water.
