Gran Park Sarubino Onsen is a dome-tent glamping site that opened in 2026 in Kaminami, Iga, Mie, the historic home of the ninja, next to the hot-spring complex Sozo-no-Mori Sarubino. It is a hands-free stay with meals and equipment provided, easy for outdoor beginners, and check-in is a simple QR scan at the main building. Dinner is an outdoor BBQ in a roofed private space (usable even in the rain), with the local brand Iga beef, Mie chicken, US skirt steak and tongue, an Iga-beef-patty burger, seafood ahijo and grilled vegetables, followed by make-your-own hot sandwiches at breakfast. Two onsen are on hand, the wooden Kesan-no-yu and the stone Sasayuri-no-yu, whose open-air baths include quirky tubs shaped after local fossils and sake barrels. Guests can also try ninja bouldering and an Iga-style ninja athletics field. Check-in is 3-6 pm and the site is closed on Tuesdays; check the official site for rates and availability.
