The building follows the local Nanbari style, a traditional single storey that sits low and solid, and inside it is warm-timbered Japanese modern. Up to six guests can take the house, which has one bedroom and one bathroom.
Outside there is a BBQ garden, and a tent sauna can be rented. Wi-Fi, a projector and free parking are available.
Nanbari beach is a serious surf spot, and sea kayaking and SUP are also on offer. Tazo-Shirahama, about three minutes away by car, has banana boats and boat surfing, and is home to the Ise-Shima Skydiving Club, where a freefall from 10,000 feet is followed by a glide along the Ise-Shima coastline. A steak cafe the same three minutes away serves thick-cut T-bone.
