The building is log-house in feel, combining warm timber with Japanese detailing, and there are two bedrooms. The grounds hold a private sauna, a cold bath and a terrace for cooling off outdoors, so the sequence runs from a thorough heat to the plunge, then out into the sound of the surroundings and the wind on your skin.
The operator also runs a live-fish wholesale business near Anori fishing port, which is why seafood raised in a mild climate and rich currents can be served all year. A BBQ set brings together Ise-Shima seafood, anori fugu among it, and wagyu beef.
The room has a large screen and a projector, and there is parking. Access is by bus or car from Ugata Station on the Kintetsu line; Nagoya is about two and a half hours away by car.
