Con Perro is a dog-friendly private villa set on an inlet of Ago Bay in the Ise-Shima area of Mie, billed as the region's first villa dedicated to staying with dogs. Every villa faces the sea and comes with its own private dog run (up to about 200 square metres, some with agility features) where dogs can run off-leash, plus an ocean-view bathroom so you need not leave the room even in winter. Meals are served entirely in-room so you can stay beside your dog, featuring fresh Ise-Shima seafood and a Matsusaka beef shabu-shabu plan, with a BBQ option and additive-free meals for dogs also available. An inclusive service stocks the in-room fridge with local beer, Ise-Shima highballs and soft drinks at no charge, and a covered terrace lets you relax with your dog whatever the weather. It is about 25 minutes by car from the Toba-Minami-Shiraki IC and roughly 15 minutes on foot from Kashikojima Station, which offers a free shuttle; check the official site for rates and availability.
