mökki STARDUST GLAMPING opened in 2022 in Achi Village at the southern tip of Nagano, an area renowned for having the most beautiful starry sky in Japan and about 90 minutes by car from Nagoya. Its Nordic-styled accommodations span several types (12 rooms in all): 7-metre dome tents including 2-bed and 4-bed Standard Domes and a Riverside Dome by a clear stream, a Luxury Dome with its own jacuzzi and fire pit, dog-friendly cocoon tents with a private dog run (turned into private-sauna cocoons in winter), and a two-storey Suite Villa where you can stargaze from the living room. Each room has a covered private BBQ space and its own toilet and shower. Dinner is a Shinshu Premium beef BBQ (or a bring-your-own no-meal plan), an all-inclusive drink service runs at BAR STARDUST (15:00-20:30), and there is a barrel sauna, spice bar, pizza-making and Japan's-best starry-sky tours nearby.
