A 'light-art' glamping site on a hilltop in Mine, Yamaguchi, about 10 minutes by car from the Akiyoshidai sightseeing area. The dome tents come in six types with different interiors, split between three hill-view tents looking over the Akiyoshi mountains and rice fields and three forest-view tents facing the woods, and at night the forest is lit up for the 'Hikari to Mori no Utage' light show. Each tent has air conditioning, a fridge, a large gas grill, a shower and a toilet, and dinner is a hands-free American-style barbecue of Yamaguchi produce, including Yamaguchi wagyu 'Kirameki', Mutsumi pork sausage and Choshu chicken grilled over charcoal, with a hot-sandwich breakfast. There are 40 free parking spaces (no pets allowed); it is about 20 minutes from the Ogori IC, and you should check the official site for rates and availability.
