Spread across a hilltop in Shimanto, Kochi, this is one of Shikoku's largest glamping sites. Rooms center on 6-, 7- and 10-meter dome tents (a first for Kochi) alongside trailers and drive-up sites; each dome has its own bathroom, toilet and washbasin, and the 10-meter dome adds a private pool, with open-air-bath and sauna units also available. Dinner is a BBQ called the Shimanto Starry Sky course, built on Shimanto produce such as Niida rice and Shimanto pork plus domestic chicken and Miyazaki beef loin, with a morning plate for breakfast. A shared pool and the Skyhill Golf Club are on site, and at night the clear Kochi sky fills with stars. Japan's last clear stream, the Shimanto River, is a five-to-six-minute drive away. It is about 10 minutes by car from the Shimantocho-Chuo IC and roughly 12 minutes from JR Kubokawa Station.
