Whole-house villas at Higa in Kumejima Town, Shimajiri District, Okinawa. There are three of them: Fukugi, Sannin and Yuuna. Each is separate, so neighbours are not something you think about.
Every villa is 91 square metres in a three-bedroom layout and sleeps six. The three bedrooms are two twins and one double. A kitchen and appliances are provided, along with a washer-dryer, so clothes can be washed on the spot when travelling with children. There is one bathroom, with the washing area separated.
The name Fukugi comes from Maja no Chura Fukugi, a tree over 200 years old designated a natural monument of Okinawa Prefecture.
Check-in is self-service. There is parking in front of the villa and Wi-Fi is available. Kumejima Airport and Kanegusuku Port are about 15 minutes away by taxi or rental car, and Naha Airport is about 35 minutes by air. Eef Beach is about four minutes by car. Rates start at 41,000 yen per night.
