This glamping site sits directly on Akuna Beach, a clear-watered natural beach and sea-turtle nesting ground on Miyagi Island in Uruma, Okinawa, a 'remote island' you can drive to. Its tents are Okinawa's first linked twin domes: a living dome 6 to 8 metres across (sleeping up to six in the larger type) connected by a door to a separate BBQ dome, so you can grill in any weather without smoke. Dinner is a BBQ with Agu pork shabu-shabu plus beef, pork and spiced chicken, and breakfast is hot sandwiches; a welcome drink greets you on arrival, a communal fire-pit space sits at the centre of the grounds, and a private beach tent sauna can be booked for a paid session. Domes have air conditioning, Wi-Fi, a fridge-freezer and bath amenities, with on-site parking. It is about 90 minutes by car from Naha Airport or 50 minutes from the Okinawa-Minami IC; check the official site for rates and availability.
