Whole-house pool villas at Afuso in Onna Village, Kunigami District, Okinawa, a stretch of coast known as resort country. There are nine in all, A through I.
Capacity varies by villa: B, D and E take up to 16, C, H and I up to 13, and A, F and G up to 12. Layouts are four-bedroom for B, C, D, E, H and I, and three-bedroom for A, F and G, with three bedrooms as the standard arrangement.
Each villa has a generous private pool, and the terrace is roofed, so poolside BBQ works even in rain. Villa A also has a sauna.
Equipment covers a BBQ grill with tongs, a television, a washing machine with detergent, a clothes dryer, a vacuum cleaner, cookware, tableware, a microwave, a toaster, a rice cooker, a fridge, an electric kettle, a hairdryer and an iron. A travel cot, a high chair and a baby bath are provided too, which lightens the load for families with small children. Wi-Fi and parking for two cars are included.
Rates shift with season and villa, starting around 35,000 yen on weekdays and 40,000 on nights before holidays; the larger types start at 55,000 and 65,000 respectively. Naha Airport is about 60 minutes away by car using the expressway. Mission Beach is nearby.
