Others is a private villa in Mie, set where the sea of the Ise-Shima area opens out in front of you. Counting the garden terrace with its private pool and sauna, the property runs to more than 400 square metres. It sleeps up to ten.
The layout pairs an open dining room with two separate bedrooms. Because the bedrooms are independent, two households travelling together, or a group of friends, can keep out of each other's way.
The sauna is available around the clock during your stay, with the sea in view from inside. The private pool sits where you can swim looking at the water, and you can go straight from the sauna into it to cool down.
For food there is a special menu built on Matsusaka beef, one of Japan's three great wagyu and the pride of Mie, along with plans using other domestic beef.
Ise-Shima offers kayaking and coastal walks. Ise Jingu and other landmarks are nearby, and sightseeing boats from Kashikojima Port thread the ria coastline of Ago Bay and its sixty-odd islands. You can also open an akoya oyster and take the pearl, fish for Ise lobster at Umi Hozuki, or visit the Meoto Iwa wedded rocks.
Osaka and Nagoya are each about two and a half hours away by car.
