This villa in Futtsu, Chiba, on land listed among the Hundred Views of Mt. Fuji, is for guests travelling with dogs only. It is a two-storey house let to one group a day, sleeping five across two bedrooms.
The pool, visible from the living room, is one your dog can get into with you. Dogs must wear a full-body rash guard in the water; these can be rented, but only with advance notice. A dog run in the garden makes it easy to let them tire themselves out before coming back inside.
The sauna is for people alone; taking a dog in is strictly prohibited. Sauna ponchos and mats are provided. For a BBQ you rent the grill and bring your own ingredients, choosing the option when you book.
The kitchen is induction, Wi-Fi is free, and parking takes two cars and includes an EV charger.
Check-in is unstaffed. After booking you reply to the confirmation email with photographs of your dog's rabies and combination vaccination certificates by LINE or email. A door code is sent the day before; you enter it at the gate, then the lead guest fills in the check-in sheet waiting in the living room.
