京・Tango Resort sea side villa umiharuka(海遥)

A whole-house villa on the coast at Taiza in Tango, Kyotango City, Kyoto, facing the Sea of Japan, opened in November 2024. It sleeps ten across four bedrooms.

Large windows take in the whole view of the sea. The baths run undiluted Kyotango hot-spring water, an alkaline simple spring. A sauna for two and a cold bath are included, available whenever and however often you want.

The kitchen has an IH hob, a fridge, a microwave, a toaster and a beer server. The dining table has a smokeless roaster built into it, so BBQ with ingredients you bring, or crab in winter, happens right at the table. It suits grilling local branded meat and fish from nearby waters.

Dogs can stay, and crates are kept on site. Upstairs there is a desk for work or study, and parking is provided.

Nearby is a beach of singing sand, which squeaks underfoot. Access is by car from Amino Station on the Kyoto Tango Railway, or about two to two and a half hours by car from Kyoto or Osaka.
