A one-group-per-day villa on the shore at Hanumi in northern Ishigaki, Okinawa, opened in December 2024. It covers 223 square metres: a 35.51 sqm living room, three bedrooms of 26.24, 12.89 and 12.89 sqm, one bathroom and two toilets. The beach is about 30 seconds away on foot.
The bedrooms face the poolside, so opening the windows lets the breeze through. The dining area takes in plenty of natural light, and the kitchen is an island layout with a long counter and generous storage.
The private pool is yours alone, and doubles as the cold plunge after the sauna. That sauna is a Scandinavian totonou Sauna that heats to 110C and takes loyly; you cool off on the sun beds at the poolside. The BBQ area sits by the pool with a Weber gas grill, outdoor table and chairs. A visiting chef can also cook French dishes from local produce.
Parking is free for two cars. Stays of four nights or more include free housekeeping: once during a four to six night stay, twice for seven to nine nights, and once every three nights thereafter for ten nights or more.
