A one-group-per-day private villa on the quiet Kujukuri shore at Ichinomiya in Chosei District, Chiba. There are two buildings, and they differ in character.
POOL & SAUNA VILLA 6885 is the open one, built around a pool that is lit at night, with an outdoor jacuzzi, a large barrel sauna and a covered BBQ space. PRIVATE VILLA 6886 is the sauna house, surrounded by trees; its facilities are gathered along the south face of a U-shaped building, with planting placed to block sightlines.
Both have a large barrel sauna in domestic hinoki with self-loyly. You have it to yourself for as long and as often as you like, and afterwards the outdoor jacuzzi is there to rest in. Each has a generous living-dining-kitchen area and a washer-dryer, and BBQ runs on a large Weber gas grill.
Sunrise Beach, popular with surfers, is about 500 m away, roughly seven minutes on foot, and central Tokyo about 90 minutes by car. Nearby surf shops offer lessons, and depending on the season there is horse riding, fishing and strawberry picking. Rates start at 99,000 yen per night.
