Glampark Akazawa Onsen is a two-group-per-night glamping site on the grounds of the Akazawa Onsen ryokan, beside the Houki River in Tochigi's Shiobara hot-spring town, said to date back 1,200 years. Its two 6-metre dome tents (a riverside-view and a forest-view type, each sleeping four) are double-walled and air-conditioned, and each comes with its own all-weather dining space, private shower and toilet, and a fire pit. Guests can soak in the ryokan's genuinely free-flowing hot spring (no added water, no recirculation), including indoor baths, an open-air bath and a rentable all-hinoki private open-air bath. Dinner options range from a ready-to-grill BBQ of Tochigi wagyu, local iwana char and venison rib steak to creative ryokan cuisine served in the inn, plus a bring-your-own stay plan; breakfast is a Japanese-style meal at the ryokan.
