BYUCCA glamping is an oceanfront dome-tent resort on Etajima island in Hiroshima, opened in March 2023 at the foot of the landmark Hayase Bridge about an hour by car from Hiroshima city. The five air-conditioned domes come in four styles (an ocean dome, an ocean-view dome with an open-air jacuzzi, a garden-view dome with a private barrel sauna, and a 10 m mega dome sleeping up to ten), each with its own bathroom with a bathtub and a private dining space. Dinner is a glamping BBQ built around Hiroshima ingredients, from casual sets to courses with Japanese black wagyu and fresh seafood, and a self-catering plan is also available. Activities range from pizza making and oyster shucking to SUP, sea kayaking and fishing right in front of the site, and the whole resort can be rented out for groups of up to 34.
