A whole-house lodging on Momoshima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea, at Momoshima-cho in Onomichi, Hiroshima. The island is quiet throughout, and the views and the nature are effectively yours alone.
What the place is built around is the water. Trimaran kayaks, SUP and a tent sauna are provided, opening out into island hopping to uninhabited islands, a cruise around Momoshima, snorkelling and fishing. There is a tour where you catch a fish and cook it on the spot, and a beach sauna as another option.
Indoors there is a kitchen, and BBQ is possible. The facilities suit families with children from infants to primary-school age, and there is a shower, a toilet and parking.
Momoshima is about 25 minutes by passenger boat from in front of Onomichi Station, so the trip begins with the crossing. Rates are 38,500 yen including tax for the house on a weekday night.
