AMERI is a holiday house on Momoshima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea belonging to Onomichi, Hiroshima, about 25 minutes by passenger boat from in front of Onomichi Station. It has two bedrooms and one bathroom, and sleeps eighteen.
There is a living room with a BBQ space and a kitchen. The dining kitchen is generous, the interior heated and cooled, and the sea is immediately outside. Fish caught in the water in front can be cooked here. Under the stars, you can sit around a fire in a space that belongs only to you.
This is a place with a lot to do: island hopping to uninhabited islets, a cruise around Momoshima, snorkelling, fishing, a beach sauna, and a tour where you catch fish and then cook them. Trimaran kayaking, SUP and a tent sauna are all available.
Equipment is rented as an option. Envelope-style sleeping bags are 1,500 yen before tax per day, and inflatable mattresses ten centimetres thick, in single size, are 2,500 yen before tax per day. The sleeping bags unzip along the side to become large blankets, and two of the same size can be joined. The BBQ grill, outdoor chairs and parasols kept on site are free to use.
Pets may stay. Rates start at 82,000 yen including tax per night for the whole house on weekdays.
