Dot Glamping Kita-Karuizawa is a 12-dome geo-glamping site at 1,400 m on the slopes of Mt. Asama, inside a national park where nothing blocks the view of the volcano, the sunsets and the starry sky. It is a dog-first facility: every dome comes with its own fenced private dog run of about 15-20 sqm, and some domes accept large dogs up to just under 40 kg. A private sauna with a Mt. Asama view opened in May 2025 (reservation required, swimwear worn), each dome has a dedicated campfire space and a shower room with washbasin, and dinner is a grill-your-own BBQ of seasonal vegetables and meat, followed by an all-you-can-eat waffle breakfast with self-roasted coffee. Access is about 3 minutes from the Onioshi Highway Mine-no-Chaya tollgate toward Manza, or by Seibu Kanko bus from Karuizawa Station; check the official site for rates and availability.
