A whole-house rental at Kusatsu Onsen in Kusatsu Town, Agatsuma District, Gunma. The layout is four bedrooms: one tatami room on the ground floor and three upstairs, sleeping six.
The hot spring is the heart of it. The water piped into the house comes from Kusatsu's Watanoyu source, drawn by only a handful of inns in the town. Shampoo and body soap are provided at the indoor bath.
The ground floor has a living room, a raised tatami area and a dining kitchen. The kitchen holds an IH hob, a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, cookware, plates, a counter and a dining table. There are three washbasins and three washlet toilets. A washing machine, hairdryer, toothbrushes, towels and bath towels are provided; yukata can be rented for a fee. The ground floor is air-conditioned and the upper floor heated by a kerosene fan heater. Wi-Fi is installed.
Check-in takes place at the Eidaya main building, where you are briefed and given the key. The house is about seven minutes away by car, and since the route is somewhat complicated, staff will lead the way if asked. Transfers run from the Kusatsu Onsen bus terminal. BBQ is not permitted at the house; it is done at the main building instead. Parking is for three cars.The stay runs from 15:00 to 10:00 the next day.
