EAST WINDS VILLAGE is a winery glamping resort in Naka-Izu, Shizuoka, set beside the Nakaizu Winery Chateau T.S with 10 hectares of vineyards and Mt. Fuji in view from every rooftop terrace. The ten white villas comprise four Suite Villas (108 sqm in total area, sleeping 4, with an outdoor jet bath, independent kitchen and bathtub) and six Standard Villas (60 sqm in total area, for 2-4 guests), six of which accept dogs (up to 2 per villa, for a fee). Stays are all-inclusive: a course-style BBQ dinner finished on each villa's gas oven grill, breakfast, a full bottle of Izu wine in the room, free-flow drinks and snacks from the kitchen car, an evening bonfire with s'mores, and a winery guide tour, all covered by the room rate. Guests can also use the free-flowing Jomon-no-Goshinyu natural hot spring (open-air bath and sauna) at the annex Hotel Winery Hill with a free shuttle, and horse riding is available nearby. The resort is about 45 minutes from the Numazu IC or 15 minutes by taxi from Shuzenji Station, with a shuttle bus from the station; check the official site for rates and availability.
