A large one-group-per-day rental house eight minutes on foot from Izukyu-Shimoda Station. It has a 40-mat living room, a sauna taking six with loyly, and a 70-mat roof deck with BBQ and a jacuzzi.
A rental house at Takegahama in Shimoda, at the southern tip of the Izu peninsula, Shizuoka. One group takes the whole building each day.
The living room runs to 40 tatami mats, ample even for a large gathering. The island kitchen is generous, suited to cooking for everyone at once. The sauna room is a serious one, holding six and set up for loyly. The roof deck covers 70 mats and holds a BBQ and a jacuzzi. A pool can be installed as an option.
Four of the rooms, numbered 1 to 5, are in use, with ten beds between them. Capacity is ten: a base of six plus up to four more aged three and over. Children of two and under stay free, sharing bedding.
Rates start at 85,500 yen including tax, the same price for up to six guests. Two nights take 10% off and three nights 20%, and from two nights the sauna is free to use. Electric kick scooters can be rented, up to two, for a fee. Identification for every guest must be submitted when the booking is confirmed.
Izukyu-Shimoda Station is about eight minutes away on foot, and there is one free parking space. Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 10:00.
