In the Kumano area of Miki-sato, Owase, Mie, Nature Glamping OFF LEEK sits among the mountains under a star-filled sky, close to the Kumano Kodo World Heritage route, the Blue Cave and Shichirimihama beach. There are four units in all: villa-type rooms with double beds and dome tents with single beds, each with a private garden of more than 40 sqm and its own covered BBQ space, shower and toilet. Two of them, the Dog Villa and Dog Dome, welcome dogs. Dinner is a choice of three glamping BBQ menus (Value, Luxury and Steak Course) built around dishes like straw-seared bonito and shabu-shabu by a company that runs popular Tokai restaurants, with a self-catered no-meal option and a free drink service on dinner plans. A riverside barrel sauna with a night-sauna option, a large night theatre and a pizza-making experience round out the stay.
