Toshitoland is a natural hot-spring leisure land on a low hill overlooking the Yokote Basin in Ugo, Akita, with a third-floor bathhouse giving 180-degree views over the countryside plus a sauna, cold bath and open-air bath. For a glamping experience there is RISING SUN, a two-storey log house with a wooden deck where staff provide the cooking gear and ingredients, so you can arrive empty-handed and enjoy a private BBQ on the deck, a wood stove in winter or a campfire in summer. There are also two room-only cottages, PICNICA and FESTA, and cottage guests can use the main building's scenic bathhouse; meals feature local Ugo beef, branded pork and seasonal mountain vegetables. It is about three minutes by car from the Michi-no-Eki Ugo Hanui-no-Sato.
