99glam is a dome-tent glamping site in Nikaho, Akita (a town with Mt. Chokai to the south and the Sea of Japan to the west), with domes arranged after the Kujukushima islets of Kisakata, a natural monument. Rooms come in Standard and Premium types, each sleeping up to four with two beds and two futons, plus air conditioning, a fridge and free Wi-Fi. Every dome has a terrace with a full-scale gas grill for a BBQ of Akita ingredients such as Yuri beef steak, Kisakata turban shells and local cod acqua pazza, with soft drinks and alcohol free-flowing during dinner. Guests can use the large baths and open-air baths of the adjacent inn Ichie (Nikaho Onsen) for free; toilets and baths are located inside the inn. Free guided tours (waterfall walks fed by Mt. Chokai's spring water, Toshi Marsh trekking and highland stargazing) and dog-friendly plans are also offered.
