Whole-house villas along the Amanohashidate canal at Monju in Miyazu, Kyoto, opened in April 2025 and limited to four groups a day. The architect was Kenzo Makino Architects.
There are four room types: single-storey units of 112.07 and 111.71 sqm, and two-storey units of 156.78 and 125.13 sqm. All take one to four guests. The layout is two bedrooms, holding two double beds and two semi-double beds. Each villa has a kitchen, an open-air bath, a shower room, a pool and a sauna, and looks out on the canal, the pine grove and the sea. The units carry names such as aeon, for boundless time.
Guests can also use GYM NIGIN, a 24-hour gym reserved for them. Facilities include free Wi-Fi, heating and cooling, a washlet toilet, a fridge-freezer, hairdryer, electric kettle, IH hob, kitchenware, a washer-dryer with detergent, a wardrobe, a television and a Bluetooth speaker.
Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 11:00, handled without staff: the building and room keys arrive by email in advance. Amanohashidate Station is ten minutes on foot, and Miyazu-Amanohashidate IC about ten minutes by car. Parking is free for six cars. Pets may not stay.
