Gran Ocean Ise-Shima is a seaside glamping site opened in 2020 on a roughly 150 m private beach in Futami, Ise City, watched over by Awamiko Shrine, the Ise Jingu auxiliary shrine closest to the sea. It is split into an open, beachfront Seaside Area and a calm, forest-wrapped Bay Area, with three room types: the water's-edge Seaside Deck, the elevated Grand Deck limited to two groups a day, and the Bay Terrace, its domes themed around sea, wind, earth, tree and white and all fitted with air-conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Dinner is a premium BBQ supervised by young chefs, with three-cheese and prosciutto starters, ahijo and grilled meats, plus optional upgrades to Matsusaka beef or spiny lobster. Guests can enjoy the shallow private beach, a summer pool, sea-kayak and SUP tours, and free use of the natural open-air onsen at the sister inn Ryoso Umi-no-Cho. It is about 15 minutes by car from the Ise IC, or a 10-minute free shuttle from Kintetsu Toba Station; check the official site for rates and availability.
