GLAMP ELEMENT is an all-inclusive glamping resort at the foot of Mt. Ibuki in Maibara, Shiga, with 18 well-spaced units in seven styles (from lotus tents and white domes to a lakeside twin dome with a floating terrace, a dog-friendly cabin and a luxury villa with an indoor jacuzzi), arranged around a pond, each with a heated wood deck and its own canoe. The room rate covers a concierge-finished outdoor dinner featuring Omi and Kuroge wagyu beef, a Japanese- or Western-style breakfast, a bar with over 120 free-flow drinks, a cafe lounge, activities such as putter golf and s'mores, and the sauna-equipped Bihada-no-Yu bathhouse a minute's walk away. Access is about 15 minutes by car from the Sekigahara, Nagahama or Maihara ICs, with free reserved shuttle buses from JR Maibara and Omi-Nagaoka stations; check the official site for rates and availability.
