About 40 minutes from central Fukuoka, this one-group-per-day, whole-site private glamping and sauna retreat sits on a hilltop overlooking the Itoshima sea. The Greek-themed dome tent, 6 meters across and sleeping four, has wide windows onto the glittering sea and sunset, and a log house alongside holds a bathroom, toilet and a mini-kitchen with an IH cooktop. The highlight is a Finnish pine barrel sauna with original Euphoria aroma loyly, followed by an ice-well cold bath and outdoor cooling on a roughly 400-square-meter lawn garden. Dinner is a BBQ course built around Itoshima black wagyu, a brand beef with only about 700 head shipped a year, with a bring-your-own self-catering plan and a day-use sauna plan also available. It is about 5 minutes by car from the Yoshii IC; the roads are narrow, so arriving by car or rental car is recommended.
