A three-groups-a-day hot-spring glamping site in the Asarigawa Onsen area of Otaru, Hokkaido, about 15 minutes from the city centre. The kamakura-inspired dome tents are air-conditioned and heated, sleeping two to four guests on four single beds, and stay comfortable through every season. Dinner is a generous barbecue built around two kinds of Hokkaido lamb (Genghis Khan) with fresh vegetables and rice balls, followed by a morning box at breakfast. There is a wood-stove private sauna where you can cool down in the nearby Asari River, and guests can also use the Asarigawa Onsen bath across the road, which has an open-air bath and sauna, at a discount.
