COCO VILLA Niseko stands at Kondo in Niseko Town, Abuta, Hokkaido, looking toward Mt. Yotei. It is a two-bedroom house, both bedrooms on the ground floor, sleeping up to nine with four recommended.
The view of Mt. Yotei from the upstairs living room is what defines the house. The mountain changes through the day, so the view keeps moving even if you do not.
The sauna was added outside the building: a black, understated Estonian sauna cabin called Patio M, holding a HUUM electric heater and a cold plunge. You cool off on a roofed wood deck afterwards, which makes the weather irrelevant. Being electric, it needs switching on ahead of time to warm the room.
Outdoors there is a fire pit and a BBQ, both restricted in winter as the electric grill is. There is one bathroom, a kitchen and Wi-Fi, and parking on site for up to two cars.
The location works as a base for all of Niseko: central Niseko Hirafu is about 15 to 18 minutes away by car, Niseko Village about 20, and HANAZONO about 30. JR Niseko Station is about 15 minutes by taxi. In summer the country around Mt. Yotei, the Shiribetsu River and Lake Toya all fall within 30 to 40 minutes.The stay begins at 15:00 and ends at 11:00 the following morning.
