GLAMPING STAY TOMAMU sits in Shimukappu, Tomamu, in central Hokkaido, with 15 dome tents plus a trailer house called Park Box that sleeps up to six. The roughly 36-square-meter, 7-meter-diameter domes have high ceilings and cold-climate heating that keeps the interior around 20 degrees even in sub-zero winters, along with hotel-grade amenities so beginners can travel light. Dinner is a course supervised by a local Ashibetsu butcher: a Hokkaido-wagyu BBQ in summer (May to October) and a wagyu, pork and lamb shabu-shabu in winter (November to April), with a hot-sandwich breakfast. Each room has a fridge and IH cooktop plus free-flow drinks, and there is a Wi-Fi lounge and workspace, while nearby facilities are introduced for hot springs. It is about 90 minutes by car from New Chitose Airport and a 13-minute walk from Tomamu Station, with 30 free parking spaces.
