Villa Glamping S.O.P Fuji Kawaguchiko is a container-house glamping site limited to three groups, on a hillside near Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi with Mount Fuji in view. Designed by spatial and garden designers, each roughly 30 sqm unit is split front-and-back with a fully glazed front, in three one-group-a-day types: the Fuji Site with a large Fuji-facing window, the Lake Site overlooking Lake Kawaguchi, and the dog-friendly Forest Site, each with its own shower and toilet inside. Dinner is a special BBQ of Yamanashi produce such as Fujizakura pork, Koshu wine beef and local venison cooked with Dutch ovens and skillets, with a bring-your-own option, and afterwards you can relax at the fire pit under Mount Fuji and the stars. On site there are electric rental cycles, a barrel sauna, and art and bushcraft experiences, while nearby Lake Kawaguchi offers kayaking and SUP. It is about 15 minutes by car from the Kawaguchiko IC or 30 minutes by bus from Kawaguchiko Station, with a reservation-only shuttle; check the official site for rates and availability.
