In Himi, Toyama, this beach glamping site stands right in front of Shimao Beach, a well-known swimming spot. Its Royal House cottages are all ocean-view, about twenty steps from the sand, with large-windowed living rooms and a loft (bedding for five) sleeping up to seven, plus heating, cooling and underfloor heating for year-round comfort; one, the D unit, is barrier-free and takes wheelchair and dog-friendly plans. Each deck has a fixed gas BBQ grill needing no fuel, and indoors there is an IH kitchen with cookware and seasonings, so you can eat whatever the weather. Ingredients are mostly brought in (fresh Himi seafood and Himi beef can be bought nearby), and an outdoor shower, washing machine and Wi-Fi are provided. The beach out front is for marine sports, fishing and campfires. It is about 15 minutes by car from the Himi-Minami IC and roughly 5 minutes on foot from JR Shimao Station, with 2-3 parking spaces per cottage plus additional free parking.
