SUGOMoRI Resort Ikuno Kogen spreads across the Ikuno Highlands of Asago, Hyogo, under the concept of a 'rental-villa resort across the generations.' On this cool summer retreat once known as 'the Karuizawa of Kansai,' renovated older villas sit alongside distinctive new units such as the starry-sky glass-dome 'DomeKoti' and the treehouse 'TreeKoti,' with capacities from domes (2-4 guests) to villas (6-9), plus cottages and tents. Dinner is a BBQ of Tajima beef and local produce in your unit's private space, and evenings bring campfires, a tent sauna comfortable even in winter, and a view-rich 'Sky Sauna.' There is a giant swing, a scenic viewpoint and a cafe, and dog-friendly units include one with its own dog run. Reception is at the adjacent Ikuno Kogen Country Club, about 90 minutes from the Keihanshin area by expressway.
