A two-groups-per-day villa in Gora, Hakone, Kanagawa. It is the third in the ASNOVA RESORT series, and each unit is a one-bedroom suite of about 110 square metres.
The bath runs undiluted milky spring water piped from Owakudani, with a private sauna beside it where you can pour your own loyly. The bathroom is tiled white from ceiling to floor. The changing room is roomy enough for two large dogs, and you may wash pets in the bathroom, though they cannot join you in the spring bath or the sauna.
Each unit has its own lawn garden of about 200 square metres. It is large enough to let a dog off the lead, has play tunnels, and looks out on the Hakone mountains. On rainy days and in winter there is a private indoor heated pool, about 5 m by 3.6 m, with two depths of roughly 1.1 m and 30 cm. A button turns it into a current pool, and life jackets and water toys are provided. Slots are booked in advance on a first-come basis.
There is a full kitchen and free parking on site. Parties of five or more book two units. Free membership registration takes 6% off, and stays of two nights or more add a further 10% discount.
