A villa-style whole-house rental at Chotarobayashi in Takizawa, Iwate, about eight minutes by car from Takizawa IC on the Tohoku Expressway. The stay sits close to glamping.
What sets it apart is the fully private sauna, available in three forms: dry, barrel and tent. There is a fire pit and BBQ as well, and parking is free.
Fittings change from unit to unit. The Dining Villa has a kitchen, the Dog Theater Villa a projector, and the trailer house an open-air bath. Some units accept pets; dogs need proof of vaccination.
From May 2026 a day-use plan has been running: three hours of BBQ and sauna in the trailer house, useful when an overnight stay is not possible. There is also a campaign giving 15% off accommodation to residents of the six Tohoku prefectures.You arrive between 15:00 and 18:00 and leave by 10:00.
