Poolvilla Amaha stands on high ground at Unten in Nakijin Village, Kunigami, Okinawa. The main house has three rooms plus a living-dining-kitchen, with two bedrooms, and sleeps eight. A separate annex, CIELO UNTEN, has no pool, sleeps two and starts at 25,000 yen a night.
The pool can be used morning or night. From the terrace the sea opens out with Kouri Island in it, and a telescope stands ready; with luck you will see whales. A wooden swing hangs there too, for children and adults alike. The rooftop terrace gives a 180-degree view, and after dark the stars come out in numbers you do not get in a city.
There is a sauna as well, so swimming, sweating and cooling off on the terrace all happen without leaving the property.
The location moves well. Kouri Ohashi bridge is about ten minutes by car, the Churaumi Aquarium about fifteen. Nakijin Castle ruins are close by, and Junglia, due to open on 25 July 2025, is also about fifteen minutes away.
Naha Airport is about 90 minutes by car via the Okinawa Expressway. Parking is available and does not need reserving.From 15:00 until 10:00 the next day, the place is yours.
