A three-house-per-day rental at Nemoto in Shirahama, Minamiboso, Chiba. Each house is about 106 square metres with two bedrooms and sleeps ten, and all three together take up to 30. Each keeps its own privacy.
The pool measures 6 by 3 metres and turns into a night pool after dark. It is not heated. What defines the layout is the run from poolside through terrace to bathroom: open the sauna door, pass through the bathroom, and you are in the pool.
The sauna is a compact room where water dropped on the stones fills it with soft heat. The glass-walled bathroom facing the pool holds a jacuzzi bath, for warming up slowly after the sauna or the water.
The terrace has a heavy cast-iron gas grill for serious BBQ. The kitchen is large and stocked with cookware and appliances, so ingredients you bring can be cooked however you like. Free Wi-Fi and parking for three cars are provided. Pets are not accepted.
Tomiura IC on the Futtsu-Tateyama road is about 30 minutes away by car, roughly 20 km.Rooms open at 15:00 and must be left by 10:00. Rates vary by season and plan, starting around 132,000 yen.
