A whole-house villa inside Minami-Boso Quasi-National Park at Kawaguchi in Chikura, Minamiboso, Chiba. Every room was designed to face the ocean, so the Chikura coast is yours alone.
There are two indoor bedrooms, one on each floor, holding four double beds and two semi-doubles. Add the dome tent sleeping space and the house takes two to twelve guests. Six is the recommended number; each additional guest costs 15,000 yen, or 25,000 in top season. No spare bedding is kept, so larger parties share.
Outside is an infinity pool with a shallow area for children. The barrel sauna is electric, running 60 to 90 degrees. The BBQ table has two gas burners set into it, and a pop-up tarp goes up for rain or strong sun. Firewood is 2,000 yen a bundle including tax. There is also a fire pit, a kitchen, free Wi-Fi and parking for four cars with EV charging.
The UMInoTERRACE Chikura building is three minutes away on foot; book both and you can host up to 24. Everyone shares the pool, sauna and BBQ during the day and splits up only to sleep. Check-in is at 15:00 and check-out at 10:00, with a 13:00 early check-in for an extra 15,000 yen. Pets are not accepted. Rates run from 99,000 to 199,000 yen by season.
