Two-groups-per-day private cabins in the forest at Miyota, Kitasaku District, Nagano, close to Karuizawa. There are two units, A (ZEN-ASOBI) and B (MORI-ASOBI), plus an annexe.
Each has a Finnish sauna. Built in hinoki, it takes self-loyly and is large enough for six at once. After the heat you step out onto the wooden deck and rest in the natural air. There is a jacuzzi as well.
A kitchen and BBQ grill mean meals are yours to arrange. At Minpaku Ryokan Fes, a lodging-industry event held in September 2025, the property received a STAYCHELIN 2025 award.
Karuizawa IC is about 28 minutes away by car, and Miyota Station and Sakudaira Smart IC about ten. Rates start at 134,000 yen per night. Bookings are taken on the official site and through other reservation sites.
