Villa Metsä KARUIZAWA(ヴィラメッサ軽井沢)
Whole-house villas at Nagakura in Karuizawa, four buildings each with its own concept; the spa areas with pool, sauna and open-air bath are in villas A and C. About an hour from Tokyo by shinkansen.

Villa Metsä KARUIZAWA sits at Nagakura Ohinata in Karuizawa Town, Kitasaku, Nagano, a little over an hour from Tokyo on the Hokuriku Shinkansen. Together with Villa Metsä KARUIZAWA secondary residence there are four buildings, each with a different concept, taking one to eight guests.
The spa areas with a pool, sauna and open-air bath are in villa A, renovated in December 2024, and villa C, which reopened on 12 July 2025. Some buildings have an open kitchen, which puts the cooking and the table in the same room. Wi-Fi is available.
The surroundings are given over to holiday houses and historic architecture. Kumoba Pond is a Karuizawa landmark, known for the new green of spring and the autumn colour reflected on its surface. On the south side of Karuizawa Station, Karuizawa Prince Shopping Plaza spreads across a wide site with some 200 shops, and along the clear water of the Yukawa river, Harunire Terrace gathers 16 cafes, restaurants and lifestyle stores. Tombo-no-yu at Hoshino Onsen, descended from a spring opened in 1915, is a free-flowing day-use bath.
From stays on 1 June 2026 onward, Karuizawa Town's accommodation tax applies separately, charged per person per night according to the room rate.
Arrival runs from 15:00 to 19:00 and departure is by 10:00. Room-only rates start around 172,000 yen a night.
